and spent most of last night looking at videos on vimeo cuz i guess i do that

hopefully picking up the finish welded rear tomorrow and bringing to mikes shop so we can start on tearing it down to see what we are all going to need to tear it apart and put it back together better :)

ice ice baby and the wasted saturday

well i got up and headed on the road to work



lots of ice, sliding off the road and general lameness i found some gravel and headed back home





i then ate some chocolate and tried to think of something to do. my original plans were to buy stuff for an oil change this weekend and some more boards to paint after work. but as i didnt make it and everything covered in ice those place were kinda out the door.

the husker game, as has been the trend lately, was to depressing to watch so i went about messing with car bits.

i but the freshly polished trim back on the freshly painted glove box door and wrapped it back up in butcher paper and back on the shelf then set to fixing the hinge.

the hing on the glove box is 3 or so pieces, all of them were rusty-ish and a few bolts/rivets? were snapped off. so i sanded it all down and drilled the rivets out.

at roughly 19 degrees without the wind i decided that the bench grinder realy would be better placed in the shop not the un insulated garage.



that all done i strung the bits up and sprayed them shiney rattle can black. they are proly a bit runny but its hard to hit all the nooks and crannies with out it getting a little thick. oh well, you probably wont ever see it anyways.



charles invited me over for dinner so with parts drying i bundled up and headed over

day dreaming trips...

Always thought it would be fun to take a trip like this, and was thinking maybe this spring id have time. Sarah is pretty busy so i was thinking maybe my brother Jon could make the trip. So here is my idea is mostly photo form :)

So i start off driving to omaha and hopping on a train...



its right down town, easy.



then i pick up Jon in ft morgan, its only an hour from were he lives so maybe he could just get dropped off.












and we take that the rest of the way to denver, a little mroe deluxe station id say haha. we dont stay in denver for realy any longer then it takes to make out way to the airport



its not realy as attractive as the photos make it seem haha.
we get on a plane and fly to......

then another train to...



seattle!



food and all kinds of stuff

these blogs have sucked

sorry, i feel like i should be putting something more 'together' up for posts this months. I'll try tomorrow but no promises, i can't believe how different this month is from last year this month. Or at least it seems that way... maybe ill go read old blogs to confirm ha.

anyhow...



stopped to get some oil for the honda after stopping to find out that the rear axel perches for the 46' had been welded on last night and found this!

the car has obviously been hit...numerous times, nothing on the front end lines up anymore sheetmetal wise so when i parked a little close to the curb this morning and backed up off it everything shifted and the zip tye that was holding this parking light in place popped and let the light dangle. i used some bailing wire and put it back. eh' its a thousand dollar car that gets 35-55 mpg. im not complaining with the commute ive got.



started on the stencil/drawing for todays tattoo.



noticed this burl wood looking rinse cup mid tattoo....



crummy pic of finished tattoo, been doing a lot of tattoos on the tops of forearms lately. turns out, almost always hard to get a non crap photo.

oh well



finished up the night wrenching on the stock rear end for the 46 removing the radius rods for a guy in california, everything unbolted very easy but the driverside just didnt want to pop lose :( poured some kroil on it and will try to get it tomorrow night i guess.

bored.

very boring day, i basically did nothing but do random searches on vimeo and look at suits and related things on pinterest.

i feel like i should go be productive or something.

but i have about zero ambition right now.

its about 16 deg out right now.

its supposed to be warmer tomorrow and then rain/snow this weekend.

ill probably attempt changing the oil in the honda in the snow then i suppose.

keeping with that theme this is a drawing for a tattoo of a knuckle head harley motor and some roses that i did today and then spaced off actually taking a photo of it finished. awesome right?

I'd say I was lucky to have found this girl, or to end up in this life. But when every day she/it just gets better in ways you couldn't have ever thought of? Well I'm obviously just flat out blessed. I'm so entirely stoked to spend the rest of my life with the person that was so obviously made for me, so insanely perfect.

so right at the crack of 11am i got up and headed to have lunch with sarah at school with some of her friends, and what do i see what i get there? part of my freshly painted dash delivered from nebraska! rad :) its just the glove box door but im pretty stoked on it.

after lunch i worked on some little stuff here and there and for tomorrows tattoo, which hopefully goes super well and i get good-ish photos to post :)



then sarah and i were off to go suit and surprise to me, shoe shopping for the wedding and i guess just to look good in the mean time :)



with the sky looking about like this we figured we aught to take a dinner break... we were finished, tired and back in the car by 6:30 we deemed ourselfs officaly old people. haha



two of my favorite things in one photo, sarah and this cheese, spinach, lobster dip with chips. whoa. so good.



we ate at this place called firebirds, its was way tasty. we had what turns out to be buffalo meatloaf and it was great! so happy to actually be able to say that after eating out somewhere. it doesn't happen much.



like we weren't going to get the cheese cake? yeah right haha

after having our fill we headed to another suit place and dang if i wasn't lookin daaaaaaaang good :) we picked out two and had them marked for alterations :) so excited :)



then on to see my bff Audi Helkuik



who has indeed been to the met in NYC. i've seen it.
